Job Description:

Inventory Handling 

  • Unpack and examine deliveries in accordance with the Repair Station Manual
  • Follow the same procedures for returning materials and shipments that are rejected
  • Ensure that parts and materials are properly stored, segregated, labeled and that they comply with shelf-life  limits and hazardous materials storage rules
  • Upon their receipt, ensure that shelf-life limited parts and materials are within acceptable date ranges
  • Ensure the accuracy of parts and inventory so the purchasing and sales of parts can run efficiently
  • Ensure hardware bins and consumable cabinets used by maintenance personnel are properly stocked
  • Accurate and careful handling, scanning, e-mailing and filing of shipping and receiving documents
  • Ensure that incoming materials are examined in accordance with the procedures established by the Chief      Inspector/Quality Manager.  
  • Ensure that received parts are delivered to the Materials Manager or mechanic, inventory location, or packaged and shipped to other inventory locations in a timely and effective manner to support company operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Shipping and Compliance

  • Daily shipping of numerous packages to various locations
  • Daily unpacking of incoming shipments and sorting their contents
  • Carefully pack, measure, and weigh packages to create shipping label
  • Ensure all HAZMAT shipments are properly handled
  • Accurate and careful filing of shipping & receiving documents
  • Multi-tasking, working under tight timelines to collect and package materials
  • Scans, saves and emails completed shipping and receiving documents
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  •  High school diploma and/or equivalent industry field experience
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) and ability to learn industry-specific     programs – Experience with Traxxall highly desired
  • Ability to manage time efficiently, juggling multiple tasks and deadlines with the capacity to prioritize in fast pace environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with packaging and shipping, preferably delicate materials
  • Physically able to move and transport packages up to 50 pounds
  • Has own transportation for package drop offs at local shipping depot
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Can work efficiently in a noisy, warehouse-like environment
  • Organized, keeping the workstation clear and clean
  • Forward thinking, mindful of budget and timelines
  • Comfortable with constant communication with all team members 
  • Parts handling and materials experience
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures
  • Experience with aircraft parts, certifications and associated paperwork
