Job Description:
  • Develop, implement, and administer inspection policies and procedures.
  • Develop strategic plans for continuous quality improvements.
  • Review aircraft discrepancies with incoming flight crew members.
  • Monitor maintenance activities and immediately and comprehensively resolve any issues related to safety and(or) airworthiness. Examine aircraft maintenance flight logbook discrepancy entries prior to conducting inspections to establish the inspection and/or maintenance to be performed.
  • The grant required inspection items authority to internal and external personnel and notify the individuals of their RII-specific authorization.
  • Develop RII-specific items and establish procedures, standards, and limits necessary for required inspections and acceptance or rejection of the RII task.
  • Ensure that all required inspection items (RII) have been inspected, all ADs and mandatory SBs have been accomplished, and each has been properly recorded prior to any item of work being authorized for return to service.
  • Ensure that all outside maintenance vendors are contracted in accordance with the EAC’s documented procedures. Ensure that accurate records of such approvals are maintained.
  • Ensure that external maintenance providers have been audited in accordance with EAC’s documented procedures and develop an Approved Maintenance Providers list containing vendor contact information, training and RII status, drug and alcohol policy information, and for certified repair stations – their operations specifications.
  • Establish and maintain procedures to ensure completion of required maintenance tasks and/or inspections when maintenance and/or inspection personnel shifts or assignment changes occur.
  • Ensure proper work documentation prior to approval of aircraft for return to service.
  • Perform facility and/or individual staff audits as directed by the DOM. Report findings to the DOM.
  • Ensure that FAA Form 337 is prepared whenever major repairs or alterations are accomplished.
  • Manage weight and balance control program in accordance with EAC’s GMM.
  • As applicable: manage, maintain, and interpret the engine condition monitoring program for each engine type.
  • Establish and administer an adequate training program for maintenance, inspection, and receiving personnel.
  • Establish and administer a system for the continuing analysis and surveillance of the performance and effectiveness of the overall maintenance program and correction of any deficiency in that program.
  • Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) Program, including serving as a subject matter expert on the safety committee.
  • Research and prepare documentation for submission to the FAA for extensions or reductions to aircraft, power plants, and component overhaul and inspection times.
  • Obtain ferry permits in accordance with the GMM, when required.
  • Maintain a close, harmonious, and professional relationship with the FAA.
  • Responsible for CASS and CASS meetings.
  • Coordinate with OEM’s engineering representatives when their participation is required.
  • Establish procedures that ensure that maintenance tracking is updated correctly on a daily basis and that the Technical Library System contains all current required data (Airworthiness Directives, TC Data Sheets, appropriate Federal Aviation Regulations, Service Bulletins, manufacturer’s maintenance manuals, etc.).
  • Establish procedures and perform receiving inspection of materials and equipment to assure conformity requirements, check for shipping damage, proper airworthiness, and AD notes, and ensure release tags are qualified and attached.
  • Establish and maintain a procedure to ensure that adequate inspection aids, special tools, and equipment appropriate for the level of inspection performed are available, inspected, and maintained in a serviceable and calibrated condition.
Job Requirements:

  • 5 years of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control experience

Salary Range: 80000-110000
