Job Description:

This position will perform troubleshooting, inspections, and routine and non-routine maintenance on customer aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and customer maintenance program requirements, in estimated or budgeted hours, and within FAA and customer standards of quality. You will also consult and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

Position also will perform typical maintenance actions including bolting, torquing, rigging, and safety wiring to include the removal and replacement of aircraft components, engines and flight controls. In addition, this position is responsible for completing and attaching parts tags to removed repairable, serviceable, or condemned parts. Additionally, you will Return to Service aircraft that have completed all required maintenance actions utilizing company logbooks or customer authorized documentation. This position reports to the Director of Maintenance and is a Monday –Friday weekday only role.

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
  • Working knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems
  • Working knowledge of computer-based applications – Ebis preferred.
  • Basic understanding of FAA regulations pertaining to Overhaul Manuals, Servicer Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, Illustrated Parts Catalogues, and Structural Repair Manuals.
  • Strong work ethic, reliable, self-motivated with a positive attitude, and very customer service oriented.
  • Occasional travel required
  • Must be able to obtain Westchester County Airport ID
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under company insurance coverage
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Job Skills: 2+ yrs. Working on piston aircraft – Cirrus experience preferred

  • Some exposure to Turbine and light Jet preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Must provide tools as required
  • Ability to work inside/outside in all weather conditions
  • Ability to bend, crawl, twist, and other positions and sustain the position for extended period of time
  • Physical exertion (up to 50lbs.) such as: pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking, and lifting of boxes, bags, files, electronic equipment, aircraft parts, and tooling, etc.
  • Ability to precisely manipulate hand tools in a variety of situations
