MHIRJ Procurement Indirect Goods and Services Agent

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Regional Jet (MHIRJ) provides a comprehensive critical operational, engineering and customer support solutions including maintenance, refurbishment, technical publications, marketing and sales activities for the global regional aircraft industry.

Headquartered in Boisbriand, Québec, and bolstered by an Aerospace Engineering Centre, MHIRJ’s network of Service Centres, Support Offices and Parts Distribution Center are positioned in important aviation hubs in Canada, the U.S. and Germany.

Based in Boisbriand and reporting directly to the Manager Procurement Indirect Goods and Services (IGS), you will lead strategic and complex procurement activities related to Corporate Services (CS), one of the top IGS commodities, for the MHI RJ Aviation Group.

This position is ideally hybrid (3 days remote and 2 days in the office to interact with peers and internal customers).

In your Role, as a IGS Procurement Specialist, you will:

  • Establish and maintain relationship with strategic suppliers from a commercial and contractual standpoint;
  • Work in collaboration with other MHIRJ departments to develop new sources of supply and establish strategic alliances;
  • Lead, develop and execute strategies related to complex IGS projects by drafting and negotiating contracts with suppliers to meet approved mandates within predefined schedules;
  • Stablish procurement strategies to identify cost reduction and/or avoidance opportunities and negotiate savings within the Corporate Services commodity;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and develop effective internal and external professional networks;
  • Support internal MHIRJ departments to define requirements (scope of services) with appropriate complex sourcing strategies while optimizing synergy opportunities within the MHI group;
  • Manage suppliers’ performance during the execution of complex initiatives, define  corrective action plans to ensure deliverables and commitments are met on time;
  • Support the business requestors in the application of contractual remedies against material breaches and lead claims negotiations against non-performing suppliers;
  • Ensure contracts are maintained in accordance with MHIRJ procurement policies and business requirements;
  • Maintain records on IGS governance and KPIs as per IGS Procurement balance scorecard objectives;
  • Identify and implement improvements on the IGS Procurement processes and tools

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

  • You have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Business and Law or equivalent;
  • You have at least five (3) years of relevant experience in Procurement and contract management ideally within the multiple non-product commodities;
  • You have experience in the aerospace industry and/or manufacturing environment, in a commercial role, an asset;
  • You have role model negotiation skills with proven commercial and contractual background and legal awareness;
  • You like sharing your knowledge and enjoy coaching other team members;
  • You feel comfortable in managing large scale projects and presenting complex ideas to senior leadership team;
  • You have strong leadership, team work and interpersonal skills;
  • You are detail oriented, focused and committed to meet tight deadlines;
  • You have proven record in delivering cost reduction initiatives;
  • You are able to drive improvement and innovation to deliver concrete results;
  • You are fully autonomous and do not require close supervision;
  • You have a high proficiency and are a good communicator in French and English (written and spoken);
  • You have strong knowledge in financial management and feel comfortable and creating business cases in supporting to decision making process;
  • You can work with MS-Office, ERP/S4 Hana and Power BI
