Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance or Accountable Manager of the Service Center, The Factory Service Center Weekend Supervisor is responsible for the daily maintenance operation of the Factory Service Center to ensure aircraft are maintained and verified safe for Return to Service in an effective and efficient manner to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Must poses a positive attitude, great communication, interpersonal and leadership skills while working in a large-volume maintenance environment with strict Return to Service dates.
  • Ensures company vision and organizational goals are communicated and carried out to ensure priorities are aligned with the daily success plan.
  • Sets a positive approach to teamwork; coaches and guides technicians, set plans for improvement, increase throughput, overcome obstacles, and achieve on time delivery with high quality to customers.
  • Performs logbook research to ensure compliance and conformity is adhered to with strict attention to detail.
  • Responsible for conducting performance reviews and evaluations for Technicians and leads.
  • Continually strives for process improvement, cost reduction, and labor hour reduction to meet labor allowances.
  • Assist Service Advisor to ensure customers and departments are updated daily on status and estimations.
  • Train, assist, and supervise Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) in proper work procedures and practices to stay within guidelines for overtime and monitor absenteeism or tardiness.
  • Ensures aircraft departure with 0 rework or return faults.
  • Properly reports weekly metrics in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years previous leadership experience, preferably in a CFR Part 145 Repair Station environment.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant License required, FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred.
  • Formal supervisory/leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide direction and utilize delegation skills along with the ability to remove obstacles to meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Ability to effectively manage stress, including competing work demands and multiple projects at the same time.
  • Knowledge of Internet software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) strongly preferred.
