Machine Operator C-Drill- 2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY:

To drill and machine a variety of parts. May be required to work with higher grade operators while in training.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Routinely set up and operate hand and power feed drill press.
• Operates radial drill press to perform a variety of operations such as drilling, reaming, tapping, counter boring, countersinking, and spot facing on parts where many operations are involved and where cutting tools, locating and holding fixtures are usually available. Work is performed in accordance with detailed instructions or accepted shop practices.
  • Secures, mounts and adjusts tools and fixtures, sets speeds and feeds and checks parts as required.
• Uses measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and air gages.
• Responsible only for own work.
• Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION:

Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.

EXPERIENCE:

No experience required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Typical machine shop working conditions. Some exposure to coolant and dirt.
