About the Company

The mission of the Department of Aviation Technology (AVT) is to prepare our students for a lifetime career in the dynamic and challenging world of aviation. Indiana State University's Department of Aviation Technology is internationally recognized for the excellence of its facilities, faculty, and graduates. We offer a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aviation Flight Technology, Aviation Management, and Unmanned Systems. The Indiana State University Flight Academy located at the Terre Haute International Airport was added to the aviation program facilities in the fall of 2013. The academy features a renovated facility and a fleet of aircraft featuring navigational equipment and other technology that students encounter as pilots working in the aviation industry.

The Center for Unmanned Systems and Human Capital Development offers an unmanned systems outreach center to support human capital development for the 21st century in the areas of homeland security, civil authorities, and commercial enterprises.
