Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced and Senior Quality Production Specialist (Investigations) (Level 3 and 4) to support our Fabrication on-site Quality Assurance Investigations team located in Renton and Everett, WA.

This position supports escape validation process across BCA Fabrication Division working closely with Manufacturing Business Units, Engineering, Supplier Quality and Airplane Programs. The role performs detailed inquiry, analysis and communication of information to resolve Quality issues throughout the value stream. A growth mindset will be key in meeting organizational goals and objectives. This role will collaborate with leaders at all levels in a highly dynamic and impactful environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides guidance for reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
  • Oversees the analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations and processes.
  • Guides the review of production plans.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
  • Guides or provides assistance in the root cause analysis of nonconformance.
  • Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field.
  • Establishes process and product improvements by implementing technical initiatives.
  • Oversees the process of problem resolution to ensure effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
  • Provides oversight of the corrective/preventive action plans to assure timely completion.
  • Reviews and oversees approval of Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes.
  • Provides direction for validation of corrective action to assure causes of nonconformance has been eliminated.
  • Monitors the groups performance of the verification activity.
  • Creates formal analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distribution.
  • Works under minimal direction and is responsible for training and mentoring lower level technicians.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with conducting quality investigations, Root Cause analysis and implementation and verification of Corrective Actions in production environments.
  • 3+ years of experience in reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • 3+ years of experience interpreting data and presenting analysis and/or recommendations to management.
  • 3+ years of experience leading projects or working in a project management role.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • 3+ years of experience in a production-related field such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality.
  • Experience developing presentations for leadership.
  • Experience with systematic problem-solving skills.

Typical Education/Experience: 

Experienced (Level 3):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor + 1 years related work experience, 5 years related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor + 4 years related work experience, 8 years related work experience, etc.).

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range for Experienced: $89,250 - $120,750

Summary pay range for Senior: $111,350 - $150,650
