Job Description:
Troubleshoot and perform complex electrical repairs and modifications to company fleet of Learjets 35A/55, Cessna Citation 501/550, and Hawker 800XP aircraft.Service and repair avionics component, including but not limited to, radar altimeter, Transponder, DME, Radar, audio systems, Com/Nav Systems, Navigation instrumentation, and auto pilot system components.Responsible for maintaining, testing and repairing all electrical, electronic and navigation equipment and instruments in accordance manufacturers and company provided documentation.Perform Line Maintenance avionics and A&P functions as assigned by DOM, Maintenance Managers, Lead mechanics and other company management personnel.Perform Line Maintenance repairs, alterations and services to company aircraft to include troubleshooting, diagnose and repair pilot discrepancies, rectifying deferred maintenance items (MEL’s) and routine servicing of aircraft systems per company and aircraft manufacturers recommendations and requirements.Perform inspection, make adjustment, replace components, and correct any malfunction or deficiency with and without power applied to the aircraft.Access, remove, re-install and test aircraft components including mechanical and electrical which obstruct the performance of assigned tasks.Assist with repairs on and off aircraft components such as switch panels, circuit breaker panels, and junction boxes.Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations.Assist A&P Technician in troubleshooting aircraft discrepancies.Operate ground support equipment such as tugs, jacks, and electrical power cart lift platforms etc.Document work performed per IPM, Component Installation Manual, and System Manuals in aircraft technical log, paperwork and company database.Work in shops as well as on aircraft.Fabricate parts/wire harness and install per engineering drawings.Assist in all other duties assigned by management.
Two or more years of recent Lear family avionics and electrical experience or similar aircraft maintenance for a regional or another major airline.A&P or Airframe certificate required.FCC license is optional but desired.Associates or Bachelors Degree in Avionics, Aviation Technology or Aviation Maintenance Management is optional but desired.Must have valid driver’s license and a passport.Must be willing to work any shift any day and have unrestricted travel to and from the US when required for AOG.Must be able read and interpret maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalog, structural repair and wiring diagram manual instructions and schematics and other technical information necessary to perform job duties.Must demonstrate adequate computer skills (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and other company database programs found on a PC. Must be able to control multiple database passwords and perform data entry of work performed.Working knowledge of reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals.Working knowledge of aircraft avionics systems, wire coding system, aircraft electrical and mechanical systems.Basic knowledge to perform complete engine runs.Skill to fabricate and/or assemble various detail parts and components.Skill to operate ground support equipment as necessary to perform job.Skill to troubleshoot aircraft engine systems mechanical and electrical or electronic.Candidate shall apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved by referencing manufacturer’s manuals or similar documents.Perform additional A&P related functions as assigned.Troubleshoots and repairs aircraft airframe and engine electrical malfunctions and modifications.Completes logbooks, non-routine work cards and documents in accordance with the company GOM and Maintenance Policy Procedure Manual.Coordinates reports and information required and communicates with DOM, Maintenance Manager and Inspector to coordinate timely repairs and solutions to aircraft discrepancies
