The Spacecraft group produce some of our most exciting and innovative products, like the Rosalind Franklin Rover and the Ariel spacecraft, as well as earth observation satellites. You will be assigned to one of our ground-breaking projects! You will be responsible for defining how the mission works, in all nominal and failure scenarios from defining User needs, to ensuring avionics qualification and supporting end users during LEOP and Flight.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Co-engineering within the Functional Avionics perimeter (SW, AOCS, SRDB, FV, FVI) and with AIT and System Engineering
  • Providing a key interface to the customer, project management and technical lead 
  • Designing the mission operational concept, including requirements analysis, timeline definition, data flows
  • Writing the Spacecraft User Manual, including developing and testing the Flight Operational Procedures
  • Defining the FDIR strategy and implementation, including inputs to the satellite database, and support to the satellite test teams 
  • Manage Functional Verification activities schedule, quality, costs and risks as the focal point for all FV related activities within the Project
  • Define the whole FV strategy for the project.

ABOUT YOU

  • Engineering background in one of the following: Space, Electrical, Embedded software, Command & Control, Communications, Robotics
  • Useful technical knowledge includes: Knowledge of Satellite systems, Knowledge of PUS standard and experience in system testing with HW components
