Job Description:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  • Progressively ensures efficiency in quality and customer service/satisfaction.
  • Proficient on interpretation of configured drawings, quality control specifications, contractual requirements, technical data packages, tech manuals, and oral/written instructions.
  • Utilizes web based SharePoint, Deltek CostPoint, and Cognos for document management and storage.
  • Ability to inspect printed circuit boards to J-STD-001 and Cable/Wiring Harnesses to IPC-WHMA-A 620 or as required by Customer requirements.
  • Prepares reports and maintains records.
  • Generates quality inspection documentation.
  • Responsible for First Article Inspections and final inspection of completed products.
  • Inspect in-process and finished products using calibrated inspection measurement tools; calipers, micrometers, fluke multi-meter, pin retention tool, tape measure, torque wrenches, and torque screwdrivers.
  • Assist engineers with product test and provide suggestions for problem solving.
  • Generates Nonconformance Reports, Corrective Actions, and Preventative Actions for continual improvement.
  • Tracks statistical process control, scrap, warranty returns, internal returns, and rework cost.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Mistake Proofing.
  • Conducts Inventory Audits
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Requires at least 3 years experience in the area of Electrical Quality Assurance inspection.
  • Knowledgeable experience in prototyping and agile manufacturing industry. This includes working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 quality system environment as well as IPC J-STD-001 (Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies) and WHMA-A-620 (Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies) Standards, an ANSI/ESD S20.20 (Standard for Development of an ESD Control Program) ESD controlled environment, and requirements for work environment safety.
  • Must have been or currently accredited in IPC J-STD-001 and WHMA-A-620.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Mistake Proofing
  • Proficient in configured drawings, bill of materials list, quality control specifications, contractual requirements, technical data packages, tech manuals, and oral/written instructions.
  • Proficient in web based platforms for document management and storage systems such as SharePoint, Deltek CostPoint, and Cognos.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
