Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an experienced Flight Systems Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, California to develop and execute requirements definition, flow down, systems design, analysis, design verification and validation, and systems integration and test.  You will also ensure flight sensors and actuators hardware meet requirements and are flight ready.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop system architecture solutions.
  • Plan and lead high NRE projects (Non-Recurring Engineering).
  • Resolve technical issues and ensure the spacecraft and system are flight worthy prior to delivery.
  • Develop solutions to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Perform trade studies to meet program requirements.
  • Assist with analyses to evaluate and optimize total system performance to meet customer and operational needs.
  • Teach and mentor other systems engineers.

To meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite in El Segundo, CA.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).  (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Experience working with customer program office personnel.
  • Experience performing trade studies.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Project lead experience.
  • Systems Engineering experience.
  • Experience with C or C&43;&43;.
  • MATLAB, VBA tool development experience.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD&43;9 years related work experience, Master&43;12 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.  You must live be within commuting distance or relocate own expense.

Summary pay range:  164,050 – 221,950.
