Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a motivated and driven Quality Engineer for a position based in Grand Prairie, TX.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for leading and implementing advanced Quality Engineering initiatives within the Precision Fires Advanced Programs, significant development programs with the potential to be a franchise programs with support working development Proposals and BOEs.

The Quality Engineer will collaborate and partner with other functions including Program Manager, Proposal Manager, Contracts, Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production Operations and Customers.

The position will require working flexible hours and travel out of the assigned geographical area to support suppliers across the United States.

Duties may include:
-Performance at suppliers of scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards.
-Provide internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions.
-Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, interface with customer needs and program management activities.
-Participate (as required) in suppliers failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board(MRB) activities.
-Perform on-going surveillance of suppliers conformance to Lockheed Martin requirement documents and provide written weekly reports.
-Provide technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters.
-Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and interfaces with supplier on a daily basis.

Additional duties will include creating proposals/BOEs.

The position requires previous quality engineering experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for manufactured products.

The selected candidate will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Subcontracting, Program Management, suppliers, and customer to ensure quality standards are implemented and being met throughout the process.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher education from an accredited college and/or equivalent experience/combined education

Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a secret clearance

Knowledgeable of AS9100 standard and implementation of Quality Management System

Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection and test of manufactured products (electronic assemblies)

Experience conducting root cause analysis and corrective action planning

Understanding of Configuration Management and control processes

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Ability to travel (up to 25)
Desired Skills:
STEM degree at a bachelors level or higher preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Aerospace, etc.)

Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T)

Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification or ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)

Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex.

Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality experience as well as experience with developing and reviewing Quality Standards, methods, work instructional and procedures for inspection

An understanding of the Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) SAP

Experience with control and disposition of nonconforming material
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
