Job Description SummaryAs part GE Aerospace Engineering, the Lead Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical design, manufacture, and delivery of composite hardware used in the development testing of the next generation of narrow body jet engines. You will be required to push the boundaries of what is possible with the latest technologies and materials developed at GE Aerospace. This role is a part of the Composite Structures Design team reporting the team manager.

Job Description

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute the design and analysis of composite frames using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements
  • Provide technical guidance that influences outcomes to other people supporting complex tasks; mentor others in the organization
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned hardware consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Develop action plans, with guidance, to respond to issues/ problems
  • Recommend, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and program requirements
  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews with internal and external customers


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 3 additional years of experience/education in a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience and/or interest in composite engineering or relatable experience
