Position Summary


DRS Network & Imaging Systems in Cypress, CA is part of the Electro-Optical and Infrared Systems Group of Leonardo DRS and has over 30 years of experience in designing and developing electro-optical/infrared systems for surveillance and targeting applications. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the company in the development of strategic space and weather systems.


Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications and Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
  • 5+ years' experience working in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in mixed-signal and analog circuit analysis and design
  • Ability to solve problems at circuit and system levels
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to provide and receive constructive criticism
  • Demonstrated ability to execute large group and customer presentations
  • Proven experience completing mixed-signal and analog designs, using ICs such as Op-Amps, ADC, DAC, LDO, switching regulators, etc.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a security clearance is required

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will be responsible for the definition, architecture, design, implementation, and integration of mixed signal and/or analog circuits in high-reliability electronics
  • Develop low noise analog circuits and quiet power supplies for imaging sensors
  • Schematic capture and supervise PCB layout (preferably Cadence Allegro)
  • Circuit level and board level simulations to verify functionality and performance goals
  • Hardware debugging and integration using standard test equipment including oscilloscope, power supply, multi-meter, etc.
  • Create documentations such as board specifications, user guides, test reports, and design review presentations
  • Ability to work and collaborate effectively in a team as well as independently
  • Action-oriented and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
  • Provide regular reporting of progress and status
  • Responsible for completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirements
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Working Conditions

Normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work and local travel.

The pay scale for this position is $98,288/year  - $152,593/year. The pay scale information is a general guideline only. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications.
