Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a motivated and driven Senior Quality Engineer to support the PAC-3 Evolutionary Development and Transition to Production programs predominately on Flight Test Support.

This role will be responsible for leading log book reviews with the customer to determine flight worthiness as well as participating in flight tests as the lead quality representative. Previous program office / customer interaction is highly desired.

This role requires strong project management skills and a strategic and forward-thinking mindset to constructively work with cross-functional peers to ensure all Quality Engineering responsibilities are proactively worked and completed in a timely fashion with precision. It also requires previous quality engineering experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the development of manufactured and procured products.

Individual should be a self-starter with growth mindset who can work autonomously with minimal direction in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Must work well in a team environment, have excellent customer interface and presentation skills, have effective interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively.

Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Subcontracting, Program Management, suppliers, and customer to ensure quality standards are implemented and being met throughout the development of new hardware, ensure manufacturability, and enable a seamless transition of the hardware into production.

Role requires monitoring performance of suppliers (internal and external), providing support for root cause and corrective/preventative actions, supporting supplier requests tied to program requirements, Material Review Board activities and driving closure of nonconformance reports, providing technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters, supporting failure investigations, auditing program and suppliers for conformance to requirements, contributing to Corrective Action Board for program improvements, and working closely with the customer to ensure adequate acceptance of product.

Quality Engineers at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control act as an integrated member of the design and production teams. As a vital member of the team, a Quality Engineer at Missiles and Fire Control supports various life-cycle phases of development programs, where concepts are created, designs are evolving, advanced technologies are being tested, producibility being evaluated and preparations are made for a smooth production flow.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited college in one of the following disciplines: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering and/or equivalent experience/combined education.

Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Previous quality engineering experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures.

Strong root cause analysis and problem solving skills and experience.

Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques.

Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.

Thorough understanding of engineering requirements and inspection methods.

Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming Material (Material Review Board).

Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) or design to cost (DTC).

Demonstrated understanding of AS9100 Quality Management Systems and AS9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning.

New hardware production transition planning or New Product Introduction experience.

Strong project management skills and experience, with demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Experience working with Government (Department of Defense) customers.

Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) to collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Subcontracting, Program Management, suppliers, customers, and all other stakeholders.

Ability to travel up to 50.

Proficient with Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Project.
Desired Skills:
B.S. Electrical Engineering Degree preferred.

Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA), Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt.

Effective inclusive interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration, and presentations.

SAP / ERP and SharePoint experience.

Tableau or other data analytics software experience.

Strong familiarity with Production Operations.

Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers.

Experience with the use of inspection gages and measuring/testing equipment.

A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements.

Earned Value Management System Control Account Manager (EVMS CAM) certification.

Familiar with requirements for handling and control of Government Furnished Equipment / Property during field, ground, or operational tests.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
