The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineers (Virtual) to join the Enterprise Software Products and Capabilities (ESPC) located in Plano, TX. This position will focus on supporting programs across commercial, defense, and services.
In this role, the selected candidate will serve as a technical software engineering lead, overseeing the success of deliverables for various programs. The candidate will be engaged early on in the estimation and proposal process of new work, collaborate with the program to define the statement of work, remain engaged throughout the program to align ESPC products to program needs. The role requires a strong ability to understand program requirements, communicate and explain those requirements and needs to engineers and software engineering stakeholders, and be a technical mentor to assist engineers in completing their work.
This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Plano, TX.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
- Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system.
- Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
- Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities.
- Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics.
- Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
- Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
- Works under minimal direction.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a SECRET US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Ability to obtain SECRET US Security clearance (Post-Start).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 5&43; years working with real-time operating systems (RTOS)
- Experience creating and documenting software architecture and designs
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- At least one year in a software engineering lead role
- 5&43; years of programming in C/C&43;&43; or C
- Experience in the aerospace industry
- Experience working with international teams
- Comfortable presenting to leadership at various levels
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD&43;4 years related work experience, Master&43;7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Summary pay range for Senior: $113,900.00 - $177,100.00
