Job Description:
V2X is looking for a highly motivated Software/Systems Engineer to join a small multi-discipline team of engineers supporting the Transportation Technology and Tolling Solutions (T3S) OmniToll product line in software development, integration, and test efforts. This opportunity is for an experienced engineer (10+ years) to serve in an IPT lead role as part of a senior product line team working in an agile development environment. Flexibility to work hybrid schedule with remote and on-site availability in the Metro West, MA area. Desired technical skills listed below.
Required Skills:
- Very strong communication skills & ability to explain concepts to all company levels
- Technical team lead experience
- Extremely strong problem-solving logic & analysis
- Strong technical writing skills
- Self-motivated & able to develop tasks independently
- Python/scripting (Code adaptation & editing, advanced scripting)
- Windows-based security & administration (Group Policy/STIG Configs, Active Directory, Certificate Services)
- System security design, development, configuration, & integration (Architecture, IAM, Zero Trust, IDS/IPS, CM)
- Automation integration (More than once, automate it whenever possible with any available means)
- Virtualized systems & environments
- 10+ years program engineering experience in Object Oriented Design
- Familiarity with using Linux/Unix workstation and familiar with Linux commands
- Experienced in using integrated software development tools, such as Jenkins, GIT, VisualStudio
- Experience with HTML and XML schemas
- Knowledge of communication technology such as TCP/IP, HTTP
- Experienced in using software development tools, such as gradle/Eclipse/artifactory
- Has worked in an Agile/Scrum environment and is familiar with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Candidate should be well versed in software configuration management and version control, preferably has used Git
