This includes defining the STE architecture and performing hands-on development for test equipment to be used in product verification and production.

  • Create integrated designs of complex automated test systems that could be a mixture of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTs) equipment, custom electronic hardware/wiring, and firmware

  • Conduct detailed circuit hardware (HW) design for power, digital, and RF/mixed signal subsystems, involving components like power supply circuits, microcontrollers, FPGAs, logic circuits, memory circuits, filters, amplifiers, and mixers

  • Perform detailed modeling and analysis of the designed circuits and overall test system to predict their behavior and performance

  • Lead STE design reviews to ensure adherence to development processes and requirements

  • Responsible for total STE design drawing/documentation package creation and release in a Model-Based Engineering (MBE) environment using digitally integrated Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools

  • Develop test procedures and support tester software (SW) design/development

  • Lead STE system integration, verification, and validation to prove the integrated STE HW, SW, and test procedures perform as required. Provide and analyze results meticulously in detailed test reports

  • Provide technical oversight, recommendations, and capability evaluations of suppliers engaged to perform portions of the test equipment design or fabrication

  • Ensuring that supplier work adheres to all technical specifications

  • Provide technical support during the production and testing of missile electronics

  • Support troubleshooting of any anomalies occurring during the integration and test of a test system or flight unit, as well as during subsequent delivery and system usage

  • Use project management techniques to track project costs and schedules, ensuring that projects stay on track
