Essential Responsibilities: Role provides ownership responsibility for critical hot section components on GE90 and GP engines on near term and longer-range projects with substantial business impact in Fleet Hardware Management. Refer GE Aviation Procedure 252.26, Engine Systems Services Engineering Pyramid for additional detail.

In this role, you are responsible to provide technical leadership to the in service technical management of NLR hot section components (HPT Rotor, HPT Structures, CDN Structures and Combustor), sub-systems or modules throughout the product life cycle. Key responsibilities include, monitoring and internal/external response to the in-service performance of the entire Hot section hardware in addition to assigned specific hardware relative to product requirements with respect to safety, reliability, durability, cost of ownership and customer technical advocacy.

In this role, you will report to Sub-Section Manager, GE90/GP Fleet Team –GE90 Services Engineering, JFWTC, Bangalore. In addition, you will interface with organizations such as the Engineering Departments (Design, Repair, Analytics, MAE and MPED, etc.,), MRO shops, Digital Services Solutions (DSS), CSA Operations, Aviation Operations Center (AOC), Customer & Product Support Organization (C&PSO) and GRC based on business need.

- Own Product level KPIs for Hot section components for GE90 and GP

- Driving Lean and continuous improvement actions for hot section

- Own ACSC DR TAT and help enabling GE90/GP overcome key challenges on rotating parts delivery

- Take initiative and lead product level goals

- Drive business-level maintenance cost decision for scrap or repair strategy

- Work along with module leaders on module life cycles plans and drive long term strategy

- Acts as technical interface between GE Internal organizations and Airline/MRO shops. 
- Own and maintains the ICA documents for assigned hardwares (ATA’s), this includes responding to technical inquiries, author Service Bulletins and support customer technical communication. 

- Lead Safety & reliability Programs and Provide Technical support
- Deliver Customer Satisfaction / Build relationships
- Deliver timely and accurate field containment plans and work with the expanded engineering team to develop field fix design solutions
- Lead business initiatives for field issues and cost of ownership goals
- Provide support for Time On Wing (TOW) objectives and Customized Service Agreements (CSA)/ Cost Margin Reviews (CMR) reviews around hardware ownership
- Round the clock availability on need basis to resolve critical field issues (eg AOG, Work scope Mitigation, Work stoppage)
- Drive change by demonstrating clear thinking, articulate roles & responsibilities, manage handoffs between different organizations.
- Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules and customer commitments.
- Foster and inspire a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally


Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors /Masters/PhDs in Mechanical Engineering specialization with strong academic track record.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Aviation Engines or Turbo machinery with minimum 3 years in product support Engineering (PSE)/ Fielded hardware design engineering positions/ Hardware issue investigation with expertise in Fleet Hardware ownership and Systems engineering
- Minimum 3 years experience of working on hot section components in PSE/Design or Repair domains

- In-depth understanding of ICA process, Services engineering technology/tools
- Strong engineering problem solving capabilities
- Strong project management skills including cross-functional coordination of activities
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization both internally and externally
- Ability and willingness to travel as required
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified


Desired Characteristics:

- Master’s Degree in Engineering
- Previous experience in a product or customer support role or Fielded hardware design experience or MRO/ engine assembly shop
• Experience with TOPS8D, engine field problem resolution
