Airbus Aerostructures includes four production sites in Germany: the headquarters in Hamburg with three other plants in Nordenham, Bremen and Stade where works goes on today on the aerostructures of tomorrow&39;s aircraft.

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. In our Site Engineering MAP (Mise au point) Stress department in Hamburg we account for the production, from first metal cut to fuselage delivery to the Final Assembly Line.

As part of the engineering production support team, you will be in deep contact with the Aircraft production using our engineering expertise to solve problems and define improvements. You will work closely with designers and production staff to propose and evaluate solutions for rapid deployment to solve non-conformities of aircraft being assembled. Furthermore, you will shape the future by driving our ways of working in the frame of digitalization.

• You will validate structural concessions (primary and secondary structure) by stress signature delegation, for metal and composite structures, in terms of statics, as well as Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) and provide technical support for the major component assembly in Hamburg during ongoing production and the rate ramp-up

• You will take decisions on the spot to unblock manufacturing. This includes the definition of a structural repair to restore airworthiness, taking into account the relevant design principles, the associated certification and safety requirements and the associated processes and methods

• It will be your responsibility to take the final technical decision on the structure of the aircraft with safety as paramount and with an eye on production efficiency 

• You will analyze and approve production improvement modifications with regard to stress according to the Airbus relevant verification methods. This includes the creation of the static verification documents and release of the associated airworthiness documents such as reports and drawings as well as taking responsibility for the assessment and avoidance of non-conformities that potentially affect deliveries and the associated milestones

Which qualifications do you bring with you?

• You hold a degree (or equivalent) in engineering or a related discipline

• You have solid experience in aircraft structural analysis (> 8 years) 

• At least two years of experience in aircraft fuselage structural analysis 

• A good knowledge in finite element method (FEM) tools as for example NASTRAN or Hyperworks

• knowledge of Airbus tools (ISSY, ISAMI) is an advantage

• You enjoy taking ownership of projects and driving them with assertiveness while supporting other team members with your expertise

• You need to be able to collaborate with team members and stakeholders

• You are fluent in English 

• German is an advantage. The willingness to learn German is important

In unserer Abteilung Site Engineering MAP - mise au point - Stress in Hamburg verantworten wir die Produktion vom ersten Metallzuschnitt bis zur Lieferung des Rumpfes an die Endmontagelinie. Als Teil des technischen Produktionsunterstützungsteams stehst du  in engem Kontakt mit der Flugzeugproduktion und nutzen unser technisches Know-how, um Probleme zu lösen und Verbesserungen zu definieren. Du arbeitest eng mit Konstrukteuren und Produktionsmitarbeitern zusammen, um Lösungen für einen schnellen Einsatz vorzuschlagen und zu bewerten, um Nichtkonformitäten bei der Montage von Flugzeugen zu beheben. Darüber hinaus gestaltest du die Zukunft, indem du unsere Arbeitsweisen im Rahmen der Digitalisierung vorantreiben.

• Du validierst Strukturconcessions (Primär- und Sekundärstruktur) mittels erhaltener Unterschriftendelegation für Metall- und Verbundstrukturen hinsichtlich Statik sowie Ermüdungs- und Schadenstoleranz (F&DT) und leisten im laufenden Betrieb technischen Support für die Großkomponentenmontage in Hamburg Produktion und den Ratenanstieg

• Du triffst Vor-Ort-Entscheidungen, um die Produktion freizugeben. Dazu gehört die Definition einer Strukturreparaturlösung zur Wiederherstellung der Lufttüchtigkeit unter Berücksichtigung der relevanten Gestaltungsgrundsätze, der damit verbundenen Zertifizierungs- und Sicherheitsanforderungen sowie der damit verbundenen Prozesse und Methoden

• Es liegt in deiner Verantwortung, die endgültige technische Entscheidung über die Struktur des Flugzeugs zu treffen, wobei die Sicherheit an erster Stelle steht und die Produktionseffizienz im Auge behalten wird

• Du analysierst und genehmigst Produktionsverbesserungsänderungen im Hinblick auf Belastungen gemäß den für Airbus relevanten Verifizierungsmethoden. Dazu gehört die Erstellung der statischen Nachweisdokumente und Freigabe der dazugehörigen Lufttüchtigkeitsdokumente wie Berichte und Zeichnungen sowie die Übernahme der Verantwortung für die Beurteilung und Vermeidung von Abweichungen, die potenziell Auswirkungen auf Lieferungen und die damit verbundenen Meilensteine ​​haben
   

• Du verfügst über einen Hochschulabschluss (oder einen gleichwertigen Abschluss) in Ingenieurwissenschaften oder einer verwandten Disziplin

• Du hast solide Erfahrung in der Flugzeugstrukturanalyse (> 8 Jahre)

• Du hast mindestens zwei Jahre Erfahrung in der Strukturanalyse von Flugzeugrümpfen

• Du hast gute Kenntnisse in Finite Element Method (FEM) Tools wie beispielsweise NASTRAN oder Hyperworks

• Du übernimmst gerne Verantwortung für Projekte und treibst sie mit Durchsetzungsvermögen voran, während du andere Teammitglieder mit deiner Expertise unterstützt

• Kenntnisse der Airbus-Tools (ISSY, ISAMI) sind von Vorteil

• Du sprichst fließend Englisch
