Valve Design Engineer

The design engineer will meet with customers to discuss valve needs and operational specifications. They will then perform full design of hydraulic valves in accordance with customer needs while following best engineering practices. The design engineer will also develop testing and quality assurance procedures for the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities will include:

• Design, create and modify products to meet customer requirements for a variety of valves utilized in the Aerospace Industry.
• Create/Implement test procedures and run qualification programs for new/redesigned Flow control Valves, Check Valves, Shuttle Valves and other similar products.
• Initiate process improvements to existing and new products as opportunities present themselves.
• Research and develops core technologies to sustain or improve competitive lead.
• Design, develop, analyze and document product designs which meet the functional, cost, reliability, manufacturability and safety requirements.
• Establish design plan and drive on time completion working with all key stakeholders.
• Evaluate technical risks throughout the development process.
• Review engineering team work for correctness and accuracy prior to release

• B.S in Mechanical Engineering
• A basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatic and electronics is required to successfully perform this role.
• Knowledge of Solid Works or a similar design tool is required.
