Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA), ETC (Electrical Technical Center) Electrical Design organization has an exciting opportunity for a Wiring Installation Technical Designer (level 3 or 4) in Everett, WA, Renton, WA and Tukwila, WA to help us define the future of commercial aerospace with innovative ideas that advance or culture of safety and quality that our customers, the flying public, expect.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced and Senior Wiring Installation Technical Designers.

This is a union represented position.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, maintains and releases Wire Harness details, assemblies and installation designs for our diverse portfolio of advanced Commercial Aircraft. This includes electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying Company, industry and governmental standards.

  • Using design tools prepares documentation and incorporates design changes.

  • Creates, develops and maintains systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and assisting in identifying design discrepancies.

  • Supports engineering system design and functionality validation activities.

  • Develops and maintains product installation designs and part designs ranging from simple to moderately complex.

  • Coordinates activities and products with internal partners and external suppliers.

  • Works under general direction of a lead engineer and an experienced mentor to enhance both your technical learning and career growth.

Work Authorization:

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3&43; years of experience with wire harness, electrical and/or mechanical design.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.

  • 5&43; years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3&43; years of experience with Computer aided design (CAD) tools are a plus.

  • Experience working in a cross functional team environment and have good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of CATIA V5.

Typical Education / Experience:

Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelors in Engineering Technology (Technologist)) and typically 1 or more years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of advanced education (e.g. Associate or Technicians degree) and typically 3 or more years of related work experience, or 5 years related work experience, etc.

Senior (Level 4) 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelors in Engineering Technology (Technologist)) and 4 or more years’ related work experience, or an equivalent combination of advanced education (e.g. Associate or Technicians degree) and typically 6 or more years of related work experience, or 8 years related work experience, etc.).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range:

Experienced Level: $68,000 - $92,000

Senior Level : $80,750 - $109,250
