Context & Environment

A vacancy for a Chief Financial Officer has arisen into the Finance team of Airbus Atlantic.

You will be located in our subsidiary in Portugal, in Santo Tirso close to Porto.

Being in charge off all the financial subjects related to our subsidiary Airbus Atlantic Portugal you will report hierarchically to the Hof Operations controlling and operationally to the CEO of the subsidiary.

The key figures you will be in charge of are 60M revenues in 2024 with significant perspective of growth in the coming years, ~350 Headcount and~20M Investments.

You will manage a team of 2 people (controlling & accounting).

You will develop and maintain a close business partnership with the CEO and his direct managers.

The job has many interfaces with operational & program managers, within the Finance community (other CFOs function & program controllers, accounting, treasury, etc…) but as well with external people (auditors, etc..)

Main activities

  • Achievement of Revenues, Ebit and Free Cash flow objectives.

  • Ensure the financial performance of the subsidiary with a strong focus on business controlling.

  • Support the CEO and the operational managers on strategic decisions (new investment for eg.).

  • Ensure the rules and the standards are applied in term of accounting, taxes, ethic & compliance.

  • Ensure the payments are done in due time for the payables & receivables.

  • Ensure the closing accounts in time and in quality with Airbus Atlantic SAS but also with external auditors.

  • Manage a team of 1 controller and 1 accountant (perspective to grow in the next years).

Main deliverables

Controlling

  • Manage & deliver financial midterm plan (OP).

  • Insure robustness of forecast exercises, deliver standard reportings.

  • Follow & analyse the financial KPIs : Recurring & Non recurring costs, Productivity, Hourly rate, Headcounts, Stocks & WiPs, CAPEXs.

  • Manage risks & opportunities with CEO and the managers.

  • Insure the means are challenged at the right level.

  • Support mitigation action plan in order to achieve financial objectives.

  • Develop local financial awareness.

  • Ease management decision, elaborate business cases when needed.

Accounting & Treasury

  • Manage the monthly closings in time & quality.

  • Insure the accounting rules are correctly applied.

  • Insure the analytical accounting architecture is in place, corresponding to the business demand but also to the standards of Airbus Atlantic SAS.

  • Steer the Free Cash-Flow with a specific focus on Investments, Payables & Receivables, Stocks & WiP.

Ethic & compliance

  • Ensure the rules and the processes are defined, in place and applied.

  • Escalate at the relevant level when needed.

  • Prepare and support external audits.

Required profile

  • Master degree and recognized experience for at least 10 years in Finance.

  • Previous experience as CFO or Business Controller in Industry expected.

  • English at negotiation level required, French intermediate level will be appreciated.

  • Rigorous, pragmatic, autonomous & proactive, ability to step back and synthetize complex subjects.

  • Role player in a team, able to understand the business and to be assertive in in a challenging environment.

  • Integrity & role model in term of Ethic & Compliance.
