Job Description SummaryThe role, Trade Finance Lead Analyst, is a member of the Treasury team of GE Aerospace. This role will be responsible for supporting the Trade finance process to issue trade finance instruments, partner with internal business stakeholders and external counterparties (banks). In this role you will also flex into other Treasury Transaction Services processes such as bank relationships, Bank Admin, FBAR and signer management.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain Bank Trade Finance Credit Lines and portfolio pricing.
  • SME ability to negotiate pricing and documents, mitigate risk, problem solve and support businesses Trade Finance needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across various internal and external stakeholders to drive required outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Display a high level of judgement and skill in dealing and partnering with commercial and external stakeholders to meet customer requirements.
  • Lead functional projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity to review and create new processes.
  • Provide daily support to internal Trade Finance stakeholders and internal customers.
  • Work with various Aerospace business units to perform portfolio reviews
  • Able to offer new creative solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide strategic recommendations in line with overarching Company goals.
  • Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • Work with and other Transaction Services processes such as Bank Administration, signer management and FBAR
  • Lead and support cross-training and talent development objectives across the Treasury function.
  • Engage in active job sharing, learning an job rotation across Treasury as business needs arise.
  • Support treasury objectives relating to any M&A and other portfolio actions.
  • Ensure operating within the defined risk management and governance framework.  

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in Finance or related field and 4 years of experience
  • Relevant experience in Treasury within GE

  • Clear thinking / problem solving successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas.
  • Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to elevate and integrate, clearly communicate complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Significant experience with Bank Trade Finance, Credit Lines and Portfolio pricing.
  • Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE Values.
  • Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows.
  • Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others.
  • Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma.
