West Star Aviation, supported by STS Technical Services, is currently seeking a skilled Aircraft Cabinet Technician for its facilities in Grand Junction, Colorado. This role is crucial in enhancing the interiors of various aircraft through expert cabinetry and detailed craftsmanship.

Position Summary:

The Aircraft Cabinet Technician is responsible for the comprehensive fabrication, modification, and installation of aircraft cabinets and related interior components. This position demands a high level of precision and expertise in aircraft interior customization and refurbishment.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform detailed fabrication, modification, and installation of aircraft cabinets and other interior components.
  • Execute general mechanical functions including but not limited to removal, installation, modification, relaminating, veneering, and crafting new cabinets.
  • Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and cleanliness in creating and modifying aircraft interiors.
  • Independently manage projects when necessary, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Job Specifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in aircraft cabinetry or a related field, focusing on high-quality interior finishes.
  • Proficiency in using various tools and techniques for cabinet making and finishing.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all work complies with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines and company safety protocols.
  • Participate in the maintenance and repair of shop facilities, equipment, and tooling as required.
  • Assist in major modification work and support other team members in achieving project goals.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift and maneuver at least 50 lbs and perform physical activities such as walking, bending, and squatting.
  • Routine use of manual dexterity and hand-tool operation.

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily in a hangar or shop environment, with occasional tasks performed directly on aircraft in various locations around the hangar.
