Position: Cabinet Finisher - Ardmore, OK

Job Description & Requirements:

primary duties of the interior technician are to remove and install cabin interior items such as; Decorative panels and bulkheads, seats, divan units, cabinetry/monuments, flooring and various interior items as required to support maintenance and avionics functions. The interior technician must be versed in troubleshooting defective items and identify possible steps for resolution in accordance to applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. Responsible to assist the interior lead as directed and provide technical knowledge upon request

1. Remove and reinstall VIP interiors to include disconnecting and reconnecting of avionics and systems.
2. Install carpet and non-textile flooring.
3. Strip and recover headliners, valance panels, decos etc. with different materials.
4. Install potted inserts, use of various adhesives, fillers, and aircraft hardware.
5. Sewing, make patterns, layout.
6. Seats, adjust, repair, and recover.
7. Cabinet shop Experience, work with veneers and laminates.
8. Removal, installation, and maintenance of sound reduction kits.

  • Mixes stain to desired color match.
  • Mixes and weighs chemicals.
  • Matches color of customer approved sample.
  • Stains hardwoods/veneers using various techniques to obtain color match.
  • Sands hardwoods and veneers.
  • Sands and buffs all cabinetry and all surfaces and high-gloss finishes.
  • Sands between wash, build and finish coats.
  • Flat sands larger panels.
  • Masks off parts for paint and finish.
  • Produces uniformity on pieces for aircraft ship set using stain.
  • Monitors desired mill thickness of finish.
  • Identifies and repairs imperfections.
  • Repairs high gloss and satin finished surfaces.
  • Sprays satin finish.
  • Cleans final product.
  • Works with aerospace materials consistently.
  • Wears safety equipment as required and practices safety guidelines/procedures, including Hazardous Materials guidelines.
  • Produces a quality product consistently.
  • Interprets scheduling requirements to makes adjustments as needed.
  • Properly maintains and repairs spray equipment.
  • Maintains a neat, organized work area and help with the general daily housekeeping of the department.
  • Meets target hours and completes schedules as set by supervision.
  • Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts.
