Contract Position

Hourly Rate- $29.00

At Moseley we are supporting the tip of the spear with our roles working directly for the prime on the SOFSA contract. The prime contractor for executing the largest service contract vehicle, which provides a wide range of tailored contractor logistics support services to the Commands Special Operations Forces (SOF) service components and warfighters worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Repair and rebuild upholstered furniture, using hand tools.
• Remove covering, webbing and padding from seat, arms, back and sides of work piece, using tack puller, chisel, and mallet.
• Remove defective springs by cutting cords or wires that hold them in place.
• Replace webbing and springs or reties springs,
• Measure and cut new covering material, installs material on inside of arms, back, seat, and over outside back and arms of wooden frame.
• Tack or sew ornamental trim, such as braid and buttons, to cover and frame.
• May operate sewing machine to seam cushions and join various sections of covering materials.
• May repair wooden frame of work piece.
• Repair seats from various types of vehicles.
• Repair a variety of items requiring special shaping, cushioning and covering including aircraft insulation and soundproofing panels.
• Repair special devices and assemblies and other items such as carpets, inflatable shelters and tents made ofcanvas and other fabrics.

Qualifications:

• Secret Clearance
• Knowledge of fabrics and upholstery methods
• Requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through considerable on-the-job training and experience.
