Description:Performs a variety of operations to manufacture and fabricate sheet metal and extrusion parts. Sets-up and operates one or more of the following varieties of machine tools: shears, brake press, routers, drill press, saws, roll formers, water jets, shapers, NC Punch, Stack routers, punch press, Hydro press, and hand formers. Displays ability to plan, layout, interpret blueprints, sketches to all engineering specifications; determine sequence of operations, number of required cuts and method of setup. Uses a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Makes standard shop calculations relating to dimensions of work tooling, feeds and speeds. May monitor and verify quality with statistical process or other control procedures. May input data as required to assist with NC Programming. Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
• Must have 5 years or more experience working with CNC mills, shears, brake press, routers, drill press, joggle press, stretch press, saws, roll formers, water jets, shapers, NC punch, stack routers, punch press, hydro press, and/or hand formers.

• Experience with properties of metal and other materials.

• Experience with blueprints and interpreting specifications and/or technical publications.

• Experience with at blueprints and interpreting specifications and/or technical publications.
Desired Skills:
• 2+ years hands-on experience in aviation, manufacturing, and machining.
• Ability to execute a quality product with limited guidance.
• Team oriented philosophy and strong communication skills
• Product/Process improvement mind-set (quality, schedule and cost).
• Ability to work and excel in an agile work environment.
• Minimum one year experience leading, training, and/or mentoring other level employees

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
