Test Lab

What you’ll be doing as a Lab Technician

The Lab Technician is responsible for laboratory operations and cross section preparation and evaluation. The Lab Technician works within an AS9100 continuous improvement quality culture.

• Test New Products and raw materials on a daily basis.
• Document processing conditions, test results, and other data.
• Capability of maintaining a safe and clean work area with FOD free objective.
• Assist with inventory and equipment surveillance for all operational, safety, regulations along with policies, and procedures.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of laboratory practices.
• Continuously enhance portfolio for proficient Operation of all lab equipment.
• Assist in creating new products of various composites, textile, coating, foam, and additive manufacturing technologies.
• Other tasks as related and requested i.e. Conduct Quality audits and inspections; Execute trial plans; Develop and document new test plans.

Skills You Bring To this Role

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective team player, with good critical thinking skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of materials testing equipment.

What you need to be successful

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience working in a laboratory environment required.
• Proficiency in Laboratory practices, Lab Work Flow, Sense of Urgency, Industry Test Methods.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
• Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
• Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
• Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
