Machine Shop
This position will work our weekend shift (Fri, Sat, Sun) starting in Q3. It will work Mon-Thurs 4x10 until that switch.
Bring your experience and ideas and help us bring the highest quality products and service to our customers. This role will be an integral part of the manufacturing team. You’ll be able to hone your technical abilities through fabricating parts for our Aeronautical Accessories manufacturing and machining helicopter accessories according to engineering drawings.
What you’ll be doing as a Machinist
- Have a basic understanding of manual mills and/or manual lathes along with their appropriate use and operation.
- Learn and become proficient at interpreting blueprints, Bell Drawings, manufacturing drawings and work orders.
- Understand basic measuring equipment including calipers and micrometers.
- Grind and form parts, deburr polishes/finishing parts.
- Operate CNC press break.
- Maintain a tolerance of /- of .01 with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrate safe work habits and always wear proper PPE.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Capable of standing for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
- Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
- Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
