JOB OVERVIEW

The Material Coordinator reports to the Manufacturing/Planning Supervisor and assists our customers with request involving parts, materials, or tools. Applicants will need to demonstrate an ability to work under pressure while maintaining positive customer interactions.  

MATERIALS SUPPORT

This role is responsible for sourcing and ordering materials requested by our Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) and Shop Technicians (SCA). Materials Support acts as a liaison between the Purchasing Department and the Component Shop to gather information on the status of parts and forecast the progression of the project. To do this, you will create daily reports using Microsoft Excel. Once received, the material needs to be organized for current or upcoming projects. In this role, every day will be different! 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Liaison between the Component Shop and Supply Chain (Repairs, Purchasing and Inventory Control)
  • Track parts orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Monitor and update job status in JIRA (Project Tracking Software)
  • Working closely with the shop lead to ensure workflow through the shop is maintained
  • Organize and control the Component Shop tool crib (ensure tooling is calibrated as needed)
  • Working with the Inventory group daily for problem parts, missing stock, counts, time expired items
  • Other duties as required

 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Previous experience with Supply Chain/Shipping and Parts procedures
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Knowledge of M3 or similar ERP system 
  • Comfortable using the MS Office suite, in particular Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain positive customer service
  • Ability to work and communicate well with a team

 

HOURS OF WORK

Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm. Hours may change depending on requirements.
