Parts Runner 2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY

This hourly non-exempt position requires an energetic individual to work in a fast-paced team oriented position to provide assistance to the shipping / receiving and parts personnel with the ability to understand and apply FAA regulations to guarantee traceability of aircraft parts by interpreting packing slips, FAA and international air agency documentation, parts certification, vendor invoices and internal company documents.  Experience with regard to receiving inspections and parts room functions helpful but not required.  Accurate data entry with excellent organizational skills are essential.  Ability to work well under pressure with time constraints.

Shift:

This position is for 2^nd shift. 2^nd shift is Monday – Thursday 10 hour days. Incentives for second shift includes 10 -15 pay premium, paid lunch, 4 day work week, formal airframe training, eligible to transfer to 1^st shift after 3 years on 2^nd shift.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist with the receipt of all incoming parts under FAA receiving regulations.
• Verify material with proper documentation.
• Assist parts count and parts runner personnel.
• Stock shelves, conduct cycle counts and maintain stock room organization.
• Retrieve / stage parts for distribution to intercompany personnel and outside customers.
• Assist with receiving and prepping for shipments.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned supervisor or management.

      Education                                    High school diploma or equivalent.

                                                              Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills required.

      Experience                                Prior parts experience helpful but not required.

                                                              Computer experience required.

Initiative                                        Must be well organized with an attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

                                                        Ability to process daily work with minimal supervision.

                                                        Must be self-motivated and able to maintain a rapid pace.

                                                        Ability to work well with others in a professional manner.

Responsibility                            Maintain high standards of certification and traceability on parts in receiving area and stock room.

                                                        Responsible for stocking parts and filling pick tickets for internal and outside customers.

                                                        Delicate handling of fragile and expensive aircraft components.

                                                        Assist with the receipt and shipment of materials.

Contacts                                      Daily contact with West Star personnel, customers and vendor representatives.

Physical Requirements           Able to lift 50 lbs.

                                                        Routine walking, bending and squatting.

Routine or repetitive physical exertion.
