The Opportunity

We are seeking an all-rounder Senior Supply Specialist to join our diverse Planning & Purchasing team in providing technical supply chain expertise. This position is pivotal in executing existing programs and will work closely and collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve objectives that drive innovation and supply improvements with the vision to maintain aircraft availability, as well as contribute to the development of our future strategies. This position is located at Amberley, Queensland.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver commercial and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) benefits to the customers through effective supply chain methodologies
  • Provide logistics support for aircraft upgrade through all planned phases including concept development and production
  • Identify and resolve customer supply chain issues and discrepancies
  • Coordinate stakeholders across industry to deliver on supply chain strategies
  • Ensure import and export requirements are met and compliant with Global Trade Controls
  • Managing orders and delivery schedules
  • Conduct stock analysis, inventory and stock level assessments for program activities

Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years Defence Industry experience, FMS experience will be highly regarded
  • A good understanding of Defence logistics policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in building and communicating logistics strategies, and the ability to adapt to schedule constraints
  • A good understanding of project management methodologies
  • Ability to work with a high level of autonomy in a fast-paced environment
  • High level communication and negotiation skills to facilitate open interaction between customer support teams and key internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate experience in identifying, establishing and promoting supply process improvements at the project level
  • Competent in the use of MS Office suite
  • Aircraft supply support services knowledge, skills and experience
  • NV1 security clearance or ability to obtain
