Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Experienced or Senior Supply Chain Operations Field Representative (Level 3 or 4) to join the 2nd Shift Vendor Assist Team in Renton, Washington or Seattle, Washington.

As a part of this role, youll collaborate closely with Manufacturing/Operations and Vendors, serving as the primary contact for resolving issues mostly related to Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) items when aircraft require assistance. Youll play a pivotal role in ensuring vendors adhere to scheduled deliveries across all our business units.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitor emergent offload/overload suppliers including outside processors, machine shop and sheet metal shop to ensure schedule compliance and product conformity.

  • Identify, establish, and maintain priorities for deliveries of products, services and data that support necessary supplier contractual corrective actions and resolution of issues (e.g., poor schedule performance, product and producibility issues) to ensure contractual compliance.

  • Communicate across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns.

  • Co-facilitate with the supplier and procurement agent the development of a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements.

  • Identify needs for training on business and manufacturing practices (e.g., requirements interpretation and clarification, contractual compliance, scheduling tools, technical skills, self-assessment) to supplier personnel for improvement or enhancement delivery performance.

  • Participate with the procurement agent in on-site supplier assessments (e.g., Preferred Supplier Certification, Proof of Process and Rate Readiness) to identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement and support Boeing procurement strategy.

  • Monitor suppliers performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements and provide status back to supervisor and procurement agent.

  • Identify and communicate opportunities to implement new processes or improves existing processes and report back to management and make recommendation to procurement agent.

  • Assess supplier resource plan and reports results to agent.

  • Support supplier work movements to ensure seamless execution.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 3&43; years of experience in Supply Chain managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services

  • 5&43; years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • 5&43; years of experience in Manufacturing or manufacturing support environment

  • Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

  • Ability to work 2nd shift (nights)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5&43; years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5&43; years of experience working in Manufacturing Operations

  • 3&43; years of experience in CMES, REDARS

  • 1&43; years of experience in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions

  • 1&43; years or experience in Project Planning; Scheduling; Project Management

  • Airplane interior knowledge

  • Airplane systems knowledge

  • Knowledge of the Boeing production system

  • Ability to access and interpret Boeing airplane drawings, procedures, and processes

  • Experience with interiors, final assembly, and functional test

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and teaming skills

  • Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure with a flexible approach

  • Ability to self-manage and establish work procedures and standards to achieve a high level of productivity

  • Comfortable working flexible shifts

Typical Education/ Experience:

Experienced (Level 3):  Typically, 6 or more years of related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Senior (Level 4):  Typically, 10 or more years of related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range – Experienced (Level 3):  $94,350 - $127,650

Summary pay range – Senior (Level 4):  $109,650 - $148,350
