Job Summary:

We have a rare opportunity for a Tech Support (A&P Mechanic) in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Tech Support (A&P Mechanic), you will perform a variety of the following duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and removing equipment.
  • Conducting technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications.
  • Manage technical products, Services, logistics and provisioning, quantity surveying, and configurations to assigned customers.
  • You may also troubleshoot technical problems and issues, recommending actions to company or customer representatives while assessing product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
  • You will proudly serve as a local on-site RTX representative to the customer's organization, managing statements of work to meet customer and contract requirements. 
  • Travel is required and is based on current business needs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Associate Degree OR another 2-year post-high school training and with a minimum of 2+ years’ experience - Inspection of Engine parts Refurbishment, troubleshooting, repairs and return to service of engines, or modules and components
  • Airframe & Powerplant License
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Shop/bench refurbishment experience
  • P&WC-powered Airframe experience
  • A degree in Aviation Maintenance Management preferred
  • Prior PT6, PW100, and PW500 shop and field experience is a plus
  • Heavy hangar/FBO/field experience - rigging, R&I, MRP's, aircraft interface
  • Customer service skills

Pratt & Whitney [Atlanta, GA] is an FAA-regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety-sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. The candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
