As an Aircraft Inspector IV, you will be using your skills and expertise to inspect our aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and conformance to the manufacturers specifications and government regulations. Youll be responsible for identifying any breach of standards for airworthiness. Must-haves:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
- A higher level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts
- NDT Level II
- Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally
- Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed locations
- Ability to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to various OCONUS operating locations.
- Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required
- A Current/Actice DoD Secrey clearance is required
Preferred:
- Understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1
- Thorough understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations
- Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation
- Experience with first article inspections
- Prior experience with aircraft modifications
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
