Job Description:

The Aircraft Maintainer reports directly to the Director of Maintenance for all responsibilities and duties designated to the position, not just those listed below.  This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing aircraft structural systems.  Also helps to maintain hydraulic and mechanical systems, identify repair methods, and schedule routine updates.   Complies with maintenance schedules and ensures mission readiness for the entire mixed fixed- and rotary-wing fleet as well any and all maintenance tasks as directed from the DoM.

  • Supports airworthiness of a fleet of Part 91, 133, 135, 137, and 141 aircraft.
  • Scheduling and overseeing routine maintenance checks.
  • Implementing and adhering to strict safety guidelines.
  • Creating and maintaining repair logs and records.
  • Using hand tools, diagnostic tests, and gauges to identify hydraulic and mechanical malfunctions.
  • Collaborating with engineers and system mechanics to ensure that all aircraft systems are running correctly.
  • Preparing diagnostics reports and suggesting repair solutions based on thorough evaluations.
  • Ensuring that all aircraft parts are accurately labeled, organized, and restored.
  • Represents the Company internally and externally with industry groups and regulatory bodies
  • Maintains all necessary records and logbooks, including certification in the aircraft permanent maintenance records that the aircraft is approved and returned to service
  • Acts as point of contact with flight crews on maintenance discrepancies related to Part 91, Part 131, Part 133, Part 135, and Part 141 fleets with understanding of write-up process for each aircraft

Job Requirements:
  • This position is required to report daily to Operation Headquarters at Georgetown Municipal Airport (KGTU)
  • Subject to pre-employment and random drug testing
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
  • 7-10 years of experience within general aviation maintenance operations, including Part 135, or equivalent operational experience to include familiarity with aircraft maintenance scheduling, team management, and customer relations
  • Must have knowledge of, and maintain a current file of all applicable FARs
  • Experience setting standards and operational guidelines
  • Current FAA issued certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings and no violations
  • Experience with aircraft management record keeping programs and sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Interface and communicate well with customers, vendors, team members, flight crews

Preferred:

  • Current Aircraft Inspector (IA) certificate
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
  • Excel in a results-oriented environment
  • Strong communication (written and oral)
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to prepare and complete reports pertaining to department
Salary Range: 70,000-90,000
