As a Field Service Technician III, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on our products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Youll be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying our products and updating and tracking the status of all field related equipment. Must-haves:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, and typically 4 or more years of relevant experience
- A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations
- Ability to understand and interpret basic technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
- Progressive experience using troubleshooting techniques
- Thorough understanding of electrical wiring concepts
- Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time
- Advanced skills in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines
- Advanced skills with avionics troubleshooting, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering, and crimping techniques
- Must have own tools in good working order
- Thorough understanding of electrical wiring concepts
- Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time
- Ability to pass a Tier 1 investigation and obtain a Common Access Card (CaC) and line badge required
- Ability to pass FAA Medical Class 2 Flight Physical
Preferred:
- Associates degree in a related field of study
- Experience with Telemetry Systems
- FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience
- Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
- Experience with FCC or FCC GROL
- Prior experience with Security&43;, Network&43;, CCNA and/or A&43;
- Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Pilot Static Equipment gauges
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
