Job Description:

Perform sheet metal operations with or without power tools, as needed, in accordance with Dassault Engineering drawings, Dassault Engineering Standards, and FAA aircraft repair and Alterations Manual 43.13-1 B12A.

  • Responsible for work assignments to ensure that projects are completed within budgeted man-hours.
  • Responsible for ensuring assigned crew has full knowledge of what is expected of them at any and all times.
  • Responsible to ensure that all members of crew remain at their work stations being productive and not interfering with the efforts of others.
  • When a crew member is not performing up to Falcon Jet standards, you are expected to express your concerns to your Supervisor, recommending a course of action for potential approval to resolve/correct the situation.
  • When a problem in your work area impedes ability to meet quality and budgeted man-hour standards, you must notify your Supervisor.
  • Responsible for the appearance of your work area. The area should be orderly and professional in appearance and ready for customer visitation at all times.
  • Determines work to be done on assigned jobs and proceeds accordingly.
  • Work from blueprints, sketches, diagrams CATIA model or verbal instructions and performs necessary calculations for angles, circumference, diameter and bend allowances, using shop math to fabricate and/or install complete or major assemblies and sub-assemblies.
  • Modifies completed assemblies and sub-assemblies, when necessary.
  • Performs check of fabricated items and/or checkout of systems installed.
  • Utilize aircraft tooling to perform precision sheet metal operations and installations.
  • Sets up and operates standard shop equipment
  • Selects material from stock or recommends material necessary to complete task.
  • Recommends and suggests improved production methods.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established work schedules and in accordance with FAA or Company Standards.
  • Assists/trains others as required in performance of their job.
  • Works in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and Company Safety procedures.
  • Cleans work area and aircraft to eliminate and control FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
  • Proper documentation in HMS, RMEA and NCR.
  • Completes assigned jobs in prescribed time.
  • Conceives, manufactures and adapts installation tools, when necessary, to improve repetitiveness and work hours with managements approval.
  • Makes proper entries in Production and Planning Logs.
  • Protects aircraft components.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent with additional courses in sheet metal services or technical school.
  • Two years of aircraft manufacturing experience. May substitute directly related education for experience.
  • Must be able to work form blueprint or sketches.
  • Must be able to use calibrated tools and measuring devices.
  • Must be able to set up and operate all standard shop equipment.
  • Have tools required for the work assignments.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
