Composites Horizons (CHI) is a leading supplier of advanced aerospace composites. For over 40 years, we have specialized in difficult to manufacture, performance critical components and utilized the latest technologies to engineer lightweight aerospace composites, composite aircraft structures and assemblies that provide exceptional strength and high temperature performance. Situated in Covina, California, our Vision is to be a world-class provider of composite structures for complex applications.

Test and inspect products at various stages of the production process. Perform incoming receiving, in-process and final testing of production material. Generate internal non-conforming reports. Enter/analyze test and SPC data.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides inspection activity in coordination with receiving, production, purchasing and shipping, to maximize product reliability and minimize cost, throughout the production cycle.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • 2nd Shift 2:30pm - 11:00pm
  • Maintain calibration system and tool recall database
  • Read, understand and inspect to drawings, blueprints and other written instructions
  • Perform dimensional testing
  • Perform receiving, in- process and final inspection
  • Issue internal non conformance reports
  • Data/SPC entry and analysis
  • Utilize various types of inspection tools
  • Perform First Article Inspections

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Basic math capabilities

Must be fluent in English for communication, reading and writing

Blueprint reading a plus

Use of standard hand held measuring equipment

Basic computer skills with Word, Excel, Access

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and have good hand dexterity. Position requires significant walking, bending and standing.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $20.00 to $24.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
