Job Summary:
To setup and operate a variety of machines to fabricate/form a variety of aircraft components into aircraft
parts.
Job Responsibilities:
• Works from blueprints, oral and written instructions to hand form and straighten a variety of parts.
• Straightens or forms parts using hammers, drills, lead bars, shrinkers, stretchers, sanders and
other fabrication equipment.
• Operates router, water knife, saws, shaper and drill press to cut and shape metal parts in
accordance with pre-determined shop standards by using standard or recognized shop practices.
• Perform routine deburr operations such as sanding, grinding, and finishing parts in accordance
with accepted shop standards.
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools to form, straighten, route, drill, shear and deburr a variety
of parts.
• Smooths out and hand works all surfaces on a variety of production skin parts in accordance with
specifications, making essential decisions involving the use of precise judgment.
• Checks and straightens parts in a thorough manner to meet desired shape and surface
appearance of a high quality.
• Uses common metal forming and trimming tools such as hand shears, drills and hammers, etc.
and operates sheet metal equipment such as shrinker, stretcher and crimpers.
• May perform rework and modification of a complex nature.
• Uses some measuring devices which include straightedge, scale and feeler gauges.
• Responsible only for own work.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Job Requirements:

Education:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
Experience:
Requires 1-3 years combined experience operating relevant equipment.
Working Conditions:
Somewhat disagreeable working conditions due to exposure to noise.
