Supervise a team of individual contributors who maintain and repairmanufacturing equipment. You will leverage your maintenance experience andskills to lead some of the worlds most talented maintenance mechanics. Youwill use your leadership abilities to contribute to driving safety,productivity, and exceptional quality in one of Honeywells productionfacilities. Through collaboration with cross functional teams and the HoneywellOperating System (HOS), you will prioritize team workload and drive continuousimprovement. As a supervisor, you will coach your team members in technical andbehavioral competencies in order to deliver high impact business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Will have primary responsibility for the area maintenance budgeting and expenditure forecasting.
  • Facilitate positive change in the Maintenance organization by proactively driving department initiatives such as craftsman skills improvements, SAP enhancements,
  • Planning and scheduling improvement initiatives, Maintenance cost and plant downtime reduction projects, etc.
  • Perform safety audits and be responsible for implementing recommended corrective actions from incident reports.
  • Identify, initiate, coordinate and complete maintenance process improvement opportunities.
  • Assure that Maintenance procedures and work practices comply with Process Safety Management (PSM).
  • Review capital project work. Oversees capital projects completed using existing maintenance staff.
  • Establish priorities, make assignments, and provide necessary supervision to monitor job execution and insures compliance with established industry standards.
  • Coordinate routine and outage planning and scheduling
  • Ensure that all maintenance procedures and job plans remain current.
  • Ensure Health Safety and Environment (HSE) compliance.
  • Assist planning and scheduling for daily activities and major outages and drives efforts for continuous improvement.
  • Contractor management.
  • Provide oversight of Preventive Maintenance Program.
  • Oversee and troubleshoot process equipment problems and supports reliability based maintenance programs to minimize machine downtime.
  • Supervise all work in process area and assure maximum efficiency at lowest possible cost; consistent with safety of personnel and equipment.
  • Other duties and assignments as needed

        -- Experience working within a corrosive environment is ideal.
        -- Strong leadership skills with a track record of increasingly responsible work assignments.
        -- Strong track record of continuously improving maintenance organization results.
        -- Excellent mechanical troubleshooting skills.
        -- Understanding of Maintenance planning and execution concepts.
        -- Ability to understand Maintenance Key Performance Indicators and drive performance improvements.
        -- Ability to develop and maintain maintenance budgets of $20 to $25M.
        -- Ability to provide hands on leadership that sustains a strong team oriented organization.
        -- Previous maintenance supervisory experience required.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • H.S. Diploma
  • 10+ years of chemical plant maintenance experience.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience

WE VALUE

  • BS Degree
  • Minimum 5 years experience with PSM, mechanical integrity and OSHA requirements.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing contract maintenance workforce.
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment design & proper operation.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma (Greenbelt preferred)
  • Proactive problem solving approach focused on action.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Project and Office and other maintenance scheduling tools.
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to work with multiple departments to solve problems.
