Boeings Defence UKs DS&A Function is responsible for delivering programmes of work into the defence and security sectors across the UK. We’re looking for a Quality Lead to join the rapidly growing Quality Function within Boeing Defence UK Ltd. The BDUK Quality department encompasses staff conducting assurance, contract and bid reviews, Programme Quality and quality input to Design and Development activity.

 

This role is mainly based in Bristol, with support required at the sites in Milton Keynes, Waddington, Wattisham, Middle Wallop, Fleet and Farnborough. This role will report to the BDUK D&FP & Training Services Quality Manager, and will assist in the execution of the BDUK Quality Management System and the onsite audit plan. The position has options for hybrid and flexible working opportunities.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assurance of ISO accreditations across multiple sites and platforms.
  • Support the D&FP & Training Services Quality Manager in the preparation for external quality audits and formulation of any resulting action plans.
  • Lead Auditor across BDUK I.A.W the relevant approval or certificate for the activity.
  • Reporting all non-conformance to the BDUK Managing Director at the Bi annual Quality Management Review.
  • The timely reporting of any internal and external audit reports to the relevant auditee
  • Raising risks associated with deployment or maintenance of QMS activity.
  • Reviewing resource to meet the requirements of the Enterprise Standard Gated Process.
  • Raising any feedback on any non-conformance to the Early Quality Involvement process
  • Approval of Basis Of Estimates.
  • Reviewing Total Quality initiatives and creating opportunities for developing strategies for execution within BDUK.
  • Ensuring First Time Quality within Quality Function.
  • Provide training, coaching and mentoring on the Quality Management System and the tools used company wide.

 

Required Education & Experience:

  • Quality Management System Experience
  • Technical and people leadership ability
  • Stakeholder management
  • ISO9001 or AS9100 lead auditor
  • Experience of bid or contract reviews.
