What you can expect as a Base Manager at West Star:
The Base Manager will be responsible for the success of the base operation to ensure quality, schedule, budget and overall successful customer experience.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
- Monitors all events related to customer aircraft, coordinates with appropriate Supervisors/Leads to ensure that customer commitments are met.
- Identifies event discrepancies and provides customer with appropriate options.
- Ensures company and customer maintenance protocols and procedures are being administered effectively and efficiently assigned
- Review customer invoices for accuracy of signoffs, labor, material issues and pricing. Ensures that pricing reflects customer commitments, and expectations. Resolves customer billing disputes.
- Managing the station profitability by Implementing effective work-flow processes that ensure a high level of efficiency and compliance.
- Ability to shift priorities and meet deadlines, while maintaining a professional demeanor, within a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Maintain and enforce the policies and procedures outlined in the West Star Aviation Station Quality Control Manual (RSQCM).
- Hire / terminate employees utilizing proper internal protocol.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.

Attention to detail and strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral, along with budget and forecasting experience.

Travel both foreign and domestic as needed

What you’ll need to bring with you:
Your Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Leadership or Aircraft related field preferred
Holds a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License
Your Experience:
10+ years in Aircraft Maintenance, with management experience
At least 5 years of experience within in management capacity
At least 5 years of experience having direct involvement with FAR 135 and or 145 policies and procedures.
