The Training Manager is responsible to assist in administering the training program under both the FAA and EASA training programs under the direction of the Corporate Director Training and in accordance with all applicable regulations.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
  1. Directly supervise and direct all training personnel and report to the Corporate Director of Training any deficiencies and non-compliance issues.
  2. Audit both the FAA and EASA training programs to insure compliance with all regulations.
  3. Assure that all training personnel are treated equally and fairly and in accordance with the HAECO Human Resources policies and procedures.  
  4. Monitor Instructor(s), Senior Instructor(s)/Training Supervisor(s), facility(s), and equipment utilization to insure compliance with all regulation.
  5. Ensures coordination and communication between all training sites and training personnel.
  6. Administer disciplinary action to assigned personnel, as appropriate and required, in accordance with the HAECO Human Resources policies and procedures.
  7. Implement and monitor strategic company and department initiatives as required.
  8. Act in the capacity of Instructor as required in supporting all elements of HAECO Americas.
  9. Act in capacity of the Director of Training as required.
  10. Ensure accountability of all training department employees to conduct themselves within all guidelines of HAECO, EASA, FAA, and customer policies, work rules, and regulations (ex. Repair Station Manual (RSM), Quality Control Manual (QCM), Airworthiness Agreements), etc.
Job Requirements:

MINIMUM:

  1. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with a wide variety of people.
  2. Teaching Certification
  3. Experience in aircraft maintenance
  4. Proven knowledge of course development utilizing all approved methods in accordance with all applicable regulations and manuals
  5. Five (5) or more years teaching in relevant field
  6. Language (read, write, and understand English)
  7. BS/BA in relevant discipline
  8. Must have the ability to lead people and accept responsibility
  9. Must have strong computer skills for use with typical business software and equipment
  10. Local and out of town travel is required involving driving and/or flying
 
PREFERRED:
  1. FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate
  2. Masters Degree in relevant discipline
  3. EASA B1 certificates
  4. ATA 104 level III certificates
  5. Ten (10) or more years teaching in relevant field
