Job Description:

SUMMARY

Responsible for all projects assigned to the Repair Station.  Provides guidance to subordinates based on organizational goals and company policy.  Establish operating policies and procedures that affect subordinate organizational units.  Interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to organizational policies. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Responsible for all projects assigned to the Repair Station.
  • Acts as an advisor to subordinate supervisors or staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
  • Participates in establishing and administering many centralized functional projects.
  • Develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance standards.
  • Establishes estimates for labor hours required for the purposes of generating service quotes.
  • Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
  • Responsible as the accountable manager to the FAA for the Repair Station.
  • Coaches and develops team members.
  • Responsible for the hiring, management and development of Repair Station Technicians.
  • Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
  • Plans, prepares, issues and controls repair and overhaul delivery schedules.
  • Reports on the progress, budget and estimate to complete each Repair Station project.
  • Monitors material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved material timed to meet schedule requirements.
  • Lead team in developing improved processes and solving scheduling problems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization&39;s policies and applicable laws.

Job Requirements:

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Technical knowledge of single and twin engine helicopters. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of FAR’s and Part 145 Repair Station activities.
  • Knowledge of AS9110 Requirements.  
  • Prior experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station or Completion Center
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, good planning and organization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to get along with others or to be part of a team.
  • Access to Export Control Information required.
  • Regular attendance at the worksite required.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university and 6 years of work-related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
