Job Description:
Reporting to the President, the General Manager is responsible for operational and commercial aspects of a facility and its region. The person is responsible for managing and developing the team and processes in order to meet or surpass quality, safety, sales and employee engagement targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure satisfaction and loyalty of existing customers
- Develop new clientele in order to ensure sales growth
- Manage Salesforce to reach and surpass targets
- Manage the relationship with partners (suppliers, OEMs and customers)
- Ensure the quality of processes and outputs
- Create and maintain a governance process (meeting and reporting structure)
- Monitor employee well-being and proactively implement required changes to ensure a happy and positive workplace
- Foster a productive and positive relationship and communication with other regions and head office
- Maintain the corporate culture and unite staff around the mission and vision of Optima Aero Inc.
- Develop innovative solutions to support the progress of the business model
- Identify opportunities for corporate growth
- Ensure continuous development of sustainable (green) solutions and practices
- Lead construction of the commercial plan and budget
- Monitor costs to meet or exceed budget, identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure regulatory compliance with FAA, EASA, OSHA, EPA
- Manage FOD prevention program and a proactive safety environment
- Follow and contribute to Repair Station Manual’s and Corporate's processes and policies
- Maintain the facility to proper work and environmental standards
- Ensure “best in class” reputation in the representation of the corporation in the local community
- Manage recruitment, training and retention to meet company objectives
- Ensure compliant and ethical behavior for all employees
- With an external firm, manage the payroll, benefits and 401K process; ensure the application and compliance with the legal, regulatory and contractual provisions
Job Requirements:
- Holds a university degree in administration other relevant degrees.
- Have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, particularly in a similar position.
- Having experience in the field of aeronautics, is an important asset.
- Must have experience with Lean Six Sigma, Lean Logic
- Understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001
- Master the Microsoft Office suite.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Interest in a role focused on process optimization and development of operational tools.
- Possess a valid driver's license and a vehicle.
- Hold a valid passport.
- Be available to travel as required.
