Position Summary:

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing Human Resources support for all employees to ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations, laws, company policies, and safety plans. The Human Resources Manager originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage performance reviews while also aiding employees with developing IDP’s for their role progression.
  • Provide strategic support to the management staff with corporate policies, practices, and procedures relating to HR.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the facility for all employee human resources and safety concerns.
  • Design programs to help retain employees and track the rate of turnover within the facility.
  • Champion communication within the facility to ensure accurate, effective, and timely communication occurs.
  • Ensure open door philosophy is followed for anyone coming into, or calling on the Human Resources department whether they are a customer, employee, or visitor.
  • Administer and advise on all company HR and benefits questions.
  • Filling out forms as necessary, in line with corporate policy.

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience with AAP, compensation, benefits administration, and human capital planning.
  • Solid knowledge of FMLA, benefits administration, and rewards and recognition programs for the workforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, relentlessly execute and deliver results in conformance with action plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in spreadsheet; financial; and production planning and tracking applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal and leadership skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record.
  • Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving.
  • Have a strong sense of urgency and able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantity.
  • Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field. MS or MBA degree is highly desirable.
  • Prefer 10-12 years’ experience in a Human Resources or related role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading people and obtaining results through others, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience leading teams and managing results through direct reports, co-workers, and team members.
