Job Description:

Qatar Duty Free is recruiting for Hygiene Supervisor, will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the facility food safety, quality assurance and other related programs. Implement food safety and quality assurance policies, procedures, and monitoring documentation to assure that each F&B outlet including concessionaries and joint ventures are meeting food safety and quality requirements established by the organizations and local regulators. Working closely with Production, Purchasing, service team to ensure food safety compliance.

Operational accountabilities include:

  • Responsible for the implementation, and maintenance of the FSMS Food safety management system, drafting the procedures and auditing documentation for compliance.
  • Provide guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees to maintain compliance with FSMS HACCP, Food Safety and Quality Systems program, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures all employee annual and ongoing food safety training is conducted to help create a culture of food safety.
  • Ensuring that food handlers maintain safe personal hygiene.
  • Completes all verifications/validations as defined in FSMS program. Reviews and verifies production documents as outlined in HACCP, and FSMS programs.
  • Assist the hygiene team with conducting, documenting and following the routine food safety internal audits. Ensure uninterrupted supply of clean and sanitized equipment for operational use.
  • Monitor trends in consumer complaints database and reports data to management on a timely basis. Investigates complaints related to food safety and quality.
  • Responsible to document appropriate corrective actions and provide recommendations.
  • Responsible for proper documentation & record of cleaning material stocks and monthly inventory.
  • Coordination with maintenance, production and operations on daily activities. Provide timely communication on all critical issues
  • Ensure effective pest control is carried out in coordination with the out sourced pest control contract staff.
  • Ensuring that a businesss food safety program is up-to-date and accurately maintained.
  • Stay up-to-date of all relevant food safety legislation and standards that are applicable to the food business.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

  • High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience
  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 2 years of job-related
  • Experience in HACCP implementation Process & full knowledge in HACCP system
  • Knowledge & handling of cleaning chemicals, sensitive and sophisticated production equipment, machineries and cleaning tools.
  • Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety in Catering.
  • Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000 internal auditor certifcation
